Create Maps to organize your trip - Android App

Hello,
a few days ago I published an Android application which was originated in my last trip to Russia. I was staying there and had to write down the addresses and places that people recommend me in a small notebook, anyway... How easy it would have been to add a mark to Google Maps indicating what I had to find there, this was the beginning of "Spot the Map".

"Spot the Map", based on Google Maps, helps me organize the geographical part of my life, with the application I've created several thematic maps and I can add information marks in places that for one reason or another I need to register. I can also share my maps by mail.

Ah! The App is a newborn, so I'm totally open to any ideas for improvement. Thanks in advance.

Do you have to be connected to the internet to use the app? would be nice if you didn't have to be for those remote places. Is it going to ADD ware like the screen shots?

Alternative/s? Offline.

Might be able to use OsmAnd - use 'waypoints' to mark the locations. All off line.

Garry, I am studying the possibility to add offline maps, for the moment Google Maps doesn't give us this feature directly and I have to find a shortcut. What do you mean with ware? Already created maps? No. But I would like to have a site where people could share their maps.

Warrin, I'll check OsmAnd!! Thanks!

Would it be possible to link to a photo of a place as well? This would be great, as after a while I cannot remember where some photos were taken.
Keep up the good work,

Bob

Hi Bob,
thanks for the suggestion, I log this on my list.

Question for you guys, would you find useful to have the map in Google Drive? It would do the sharing easier.

Thanks again.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
