6 day trip from Casablanca?

Hoping for some route advice for a day tour from Casablanca and any other helpful hints

I'm planning to hire a BMW 800 GS or similar, so something up to some off road. Motoroads looking like where I'll get it from at present, unless anyone else has other recommendations? It looks like the hire companies are all fairly expensive.

I've then got 6 days to do a circular tour, but don't want to spend all day on the bike, so thinking 300km a day ish.

I'd like to get up into the mountains, to the Sahara if poss and and also the coast; Essaouira was recommended to me.

Wonder what people think of this a planned route?

Any other suggestions welcomed, especially if gpx track are maybe available of routes that are a bit more offroad and less road..

I've read up a bit and it seems I won't have any issue doing a bit of wild camping? Obviously not in the middle of towns, but ok to just find a quiet spot next away from the road to camp for the night?

Thanks in advance for any input

Ben

Not a bad route, but that's all main roads!

Azrou down to Midelt has some lovely easy pistes
Head across to Boudnib for the best campsite in Morocco, then pick up the piste down to Erfoud. Francoise in the campsite can help on directions if needed. Not the best piste in Morocco but a pleasant day down to Erg Chebbi

Then I'd take a piste through Jebel Sarho to the foothills of the Atlas. From here the new piste over the top from Alemdoun to Tabant is fantastic. A long day will get you to the Cascades d'Ouzoud. If off road isn't the preferred option take the R703 east of Ouarazazate, much nicer drive than the main road.

Heading north fro Essaouira, take the coast road R301 to El Jadida before picking up the motorway back into Casa. Couple of bad spots around the industrial areas south of Safi and El Jadida but otherwise very nice coat road. North of El Jadida the coast road is horrible so get on the motorway.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
