Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events such as this one (18 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or
to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and

Thanks Ed! Yes, I suppose I have earned the visa. But here's the kick in the teeth... I can't go. The weather makes it impossible to ride through the mountains in December, I can't really afford to transport my bike (and then I'd still be stuck riding in ridiculous cold in Iran) and I can't find a place to leave my bike without penalty while I fly to Tehran. See? Stuck. I have the visa, but I can't figure out how to visit Iran. This is one of the few times I wish I were just backpacking through with no bike (Gasp! I can't believe I just said that.)
Yeah, I'm enjoying Iran... but I miss my bike! (I left it in Syria following an intense day spent at the Immigration Office in Damascus wrestling with red tape!)
