Lightbulb Germany to Kostroma via Targu Mures for Orphans Aid International

Hi All! We had a fairly crazy trip earlier this year taking a auto rickshaw across India. It was a charity event & we raised funds for a NZ registered charity Orphans Aid International that has some fantastic projects in Russia, Romania, India & Nepal. Currently my partner & I are volunteering for them & are trying to set up an event. So here goes.. Who wants to take a drive in July/ August next year through eastern Europe? The trip would leave from south Germany, travel to Targu Mures in Romania, visit an Orphans Aid project & then continue to Kostroma (NE of Moscow) to another project. The purpose of the trip is to fundraise for Orphans Aid & deliver aid (used clothes & shoes only). The trip would be limited to about twenty vehicles & would be hands off. This means the teams are fully responsible for themselves in every respect. The teams don't even need to travel in convoy should they choose not to, the checkpoints would be the start, in Targu Mures at Casa Kiwi & the end point in Kostroma. The trip is about 3500km.
So the question is firstly, is this an appealing event?? Would teams be motivated to raise money for this great organisation? Any feedback on this in the first instance would be great, & I'll keep updating the plans as they come through. Cheers, Mark & Juli
