Total Lub!
What Total engine oil do I put in my 200TDI Defender?
I ask because I have been using Castrol or Total oil throughout Africa, but since arriving in Tanzania I can't find my usual 15-40 Total oil - all the names have changed and the packaging.... And I can't find Castrol GTX anywhere in Mbeya (which only has one Total station ;-). Any suggestions from experience? Automotive oils Have been using the Quartz stuff but I can't get it here.... so the Rubia XT would be ok?

Rubia XT should be fine , any turbo spec disel engine oil will be OK in a 200tdi, 15-40 is fine for the temp range you will experience, just remember with a turbo engine, let it idle for a couple of minutes before switching off if you have been working it hard .
