KTM Websites - Oz

Thought it's worth checking out the Australian KTM site... interesting sound and flash use... vrooom vrooom.

www.ktm.com.au

And I noticed about the new 2003 adventure - my comments in brackets []

"With new quality features like hydraulic clutch [because the old cable used to break], re-designed cylinder head [because the old one use to leak, sometimes], exhaust manifold [because the old one had a tendency to develop a tinkling sound], larger airbox [because the engine needed more], aluminium swingarm, conical aluminium handlebar, all silver in colour with new generation graphics, seat design (better comfort)[at last], centre stand design [becasue you only had the choice of one or the other]"...

Well you might as well promote them as advances...

No news on 950 or duke 950...

Ride on
JT

More comedy from ktm...

I want these for Christmas...
http://www.ktm.com/ktmstore/Gifts_Banners_Etc/gifts.htm

KTM Sport Socks [from grandma of course]
KTM Kenny Bartram Bear [for my niece]
KTM Orange/Black Bandana - [JT - does that come with the dog?]
KTM Bar Stool [err... for my mini bar???]
KTM Foldup Chair [fishing]
KTM Christmas Ornament [which looks more like a whoopie cushion... now there's a thought...]

Now they really are having a laugh, I mean, who thinks this stuff up...

OK, so the next step is for us to make some suggestions for next year's KTM marketing 'gifts' push...

What about?

KTM Orange 'Glow in the Dark' condoms
KTM Thong for women &'Y' fronts for men [text on backside 'KTM riders only leave skids on the road']
KTM 'Speedo's [for those beach dudes]
KTM Pogo Stick
KTM Barbie & Ken
KTM Tellytubby

Any other suggestions? How long before Horizons catches on to these revenue generating items?

Regards
James
;-)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
