Fuel filter - choose the best?

What filter choose for desert travel? K&N aluminium or auto filter (plastic). Can You help me. I need for my LC4 little filter but good. It must be resistant for vibration, heat and dust and sand. I need a little filter becouse I don't have much place for it!

I used the conical/cylindrical plastic car type ones in the desert with no problems. I also covered them with aluminium tape to prevent vapourisation of the fuel. As it was on an Adventure I used one per tap, but you could probably fit just the one in the line into the carb. Obviously be careful that it can't contact any hot engine parts or exhaust.
