Electrical Problems- not charging battery...Lc4
Hi all , I have a 98 adventure in morroco at the mo and am travelling south. The problem is it is not charging the battery, i have tested and swapped parts with a mate riding a adv and have figered the problem is the stator not providing enough power to charge the battery . It is a new battery, the resistance in the stator is .6 of a ohm, capacitor tested ok,voltage regulator was swapped but still ran no charge, all conections ok, leakage test ok,
Has any one had any experiences with such problems. Cheers for any Info. Gazza

If you have a volt meter there, check the voltage coming out of the stator. It should be more then 45 volt AC on 4000 RPM.
Swap the stator to be sure. [This message has been edited by Ro (edited 03 December 2003).]
