640 Adventure - Shipping Dimensions?

I am currently trying to arrange shipping for my 640 Adventure. The shipping company requires the dimensions of the bike, and unfortunately I am several hundred kms away from the bike without a tape measure.

Could someone please do me a huge favour, pull out a tape measure and provide the shipping dimensions (ie. length /width / height - not wheelbase/ seat height etc).

Hi Matt

The 99 model is 250cm x 95cm x 160cm, I think there's not a big difference between the 99 and newer Models.

That is when the bike is unprepared for shipping, means like you ride it on the road. If size is a problem (because of shipping prices) you can "pack" it down to 215cm x 55cm x 110cm, here's an example how this looks like:

Matt: No, not too bad, it took a long time to build the crate and to figure out how to pack it. But after arriving I had it running after about 4 hours (to be fair 8, but I spend 4 of them to find out the choke cable was shut under the tank

Jerome: There's no need to disconnect a lot of wiring stuff, only the indicators in the front fairing. All other wires (electrical, clutch, throttle, break, etc.) can be left, you can turn the handlebars nearly 90deg once unscrewed.

yup,i already do that but its the height that stops me

i have a lot of wiring, silicon all over the place, horn relay, hids etc
