Kle Variations

I am about to start forking some cash out on doing few upgrades on my 1998 kle to turn it into a more usable dual sport bike.

been reading aorund on the net and some mention that the older kle is not as off road friends as the newer model but what are the differences? i ahve been searching around and cant seem find many huge differences that would turn a 5 year fresher bike to mine into a much better bike

John, in my opinion, appart from cosmetics, I cannot see why your '98 would be worse than my 2006. I previously owned a '91 and now the 2006 - they are identical as far as I could tell, appart from the serious cat's on the 2006 and the different front and upper fairing (which might look better, but results in buffeting - the '91 without fairing never gave any buffeting problems). Oh, and the 2006 does not give you the option to switch the lights off - that's about it.
