fuel tank

Hi,
can anyone tell me if the acerbis tank for the klr 600 can be used for a new klr 650 ? thanx.

its not acerbis but it works, at the address bellow you can see a fitting and comparison of new to old. the link above is also a IMS tank. if your not too throttle happy on the stock tank, and do your best to keep an average speed to 80-90km/h, i have gone slightly over 525km (half loaded) before going onto reserve. cruzin all day on the highway (half loaded) 120-140kmh about 350+km before reserve, big difference.

I've just ordered an Acerbis tank mounting kit for the KLR600 - from a german company called Buese - cost around 40euro. Although the tank is for the KLR600, I should think that with minor modifications the tank can be made to fit the KLR650

They may be able to help you further.

Does anyone know if the acerbis KLR600 tank with fit the KRL650C? Of failing that what is needed to fit a KLR650A tank to a KLR650C bike? Thanks.
