A friend also coming if that's ok?

Many thanks Chizz,

A friend - John Nichols would like to ride up as well - if that's OK please?
He rides a Triumph 800 Tiger. And I want to try out my Sertao.

Kind regards
Col

Jake had mentioned about this meet in another thread of mine. It will be nice to see you all.

I will try to try to come on Saturday just for the day. It depends on my trip to Brighton this week. I am starting tomorrow. I have taken the whole week off to do the trip.

I am still trying to get the bilge pump rebuilt after a complete winter 6 month restoration and modification into a HPN dakar and painted up like a tarts handbag. But the clutch bearing is knackered so waiting for that from motorworks then the new front brake is still an issue with a few problems getting everything to fit and line up correctly. I hope to have her running and back together this weekend and MOT done at latest next week. I then need to ride her a bit to test everything before setting off north for the weekend with El Chico and his mate. If there are many more problems with the build I then i may struggle to get sorted in time. Keeping the fingers crossed and still looking forward to the weekend. Bye the way chizz I should be there on time this time round as i have now got one of them new fangled Garmin things - with maps inside it - but its so complicated to work the damn thing I leave it switched off. Much better fun just getting lost.

Borrow my "spare bike" Jake?

Hi Jake - if you get stuck with the Bilge Pump not being ready, why not borrow my KTM Adventure? I want to try out the Sertao, so why not?
Hope that's OK, not as good as using your "tarts handbag!"....

Cheers
Col

Hi Col - Logistics might be a bit of a problem you and your ktm are way down in Yorkshire I am up here and then I am not sure if my insurance lets me use other bikes in any case ( as I have a classic bike policy now - have to check that one) but if all else fails and if its feasable then I may well take you up on that one thanks very much Col.
I am hopeful and fairly confident that the bilge will be working by then though.

Jake.

Hi Angus,
Another one here I think. Have cleared the decks at last for a 2-3 week trip departing today. Will aim to arrive on the Friday 18th.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
