And for myself and the rest of the organisers and helpers who made it all possible,

Thank you!

It's your event, and we appreciate all the comments and suggestions greatly.

Grant, Susan, Glynn, Chris and many others.

Just to agree with all that has been said above! Jo and I had a great weekend and it is making us wish the next 4 weeks before we leave away even quicker!!! We won't be around for 2006 as hopefully we'll have got to the other side of the world but 2007... Who knows?
Okay Twit! and Jo, you're down for a 2007 presentation on your RTW tour!

A great weekend and some great speakers and company. Motivational advice. Good selection of traders. I'm glad to know you don't need to be a super-hero to ride the world, but I still love tarmac for my RT! The new HU web design looks the business - size of font seem bigish, but maybe thats my browser.

We too had a great weekend. No drunks, room in the shower, good food, good company. Good nights sleep. Well organised event. Well done all!

PS
Pleasure to meet Ted and what a character he is.
Be nice if he attends again, to make his presentation earlier 9.30 ish and if somebody showed him how to make the slides go forward and backward one slide at a time that would be good. HAHAHAH!!!

Excellent weekend, cracking effort from the organisers, venue the mutts nuts. Taken back in time by a couple of Mountain rescue droogs (good craic) and excellent picture shows to boot. It probably does get better than this, but not much.

Yup - a great weekend.

The highlight for me was going for a slash with Austin Vince and extolling the virtues of Ponchos. I was converted a few years ago to these excellent devices.

Thanks to all those involve din organising things and all the speakers who contributed.

See you all again next year.

Just an idea: could we have people's nicknames on the name badges? I was looking forward to meeting some people who I only know by nick and don't know if I ever bumped into them... (hi Shells!??)

I was thinking of making one up myself, but in the hectic of departure preparations...

Thanks to all.

Just to add my two penny worth,...... What a great week-end. Well done to Grant etc who did all the organising, and to all the rest of the company who gathered, for making it a truly inspiring couple of days.

just to add my appreciation for a great weekend - and agree would be good if name tags had HU IDs as well.

Hope to see you next year or on the road

Yep, HU ids/nicks ARE on the list for registration for next year.

We are looking at videoing more presentations next year, but it's very expensive just to tape it, much less edit. And not all presenters will want to make their presentation available, as it makes it less desirable for future use by themselves. We'll do what we can though.

Volunteers to do the taping?

Just a big thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of the meeting. This was the third I've been to and it gets better every year.
Also thanks to the kind soul who handed in my camcorder (left it in the loo after one too many). Introduced a couple of new people to the event and were mightily impressed. Everyone friendly and helpful as usual.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
