First overseas

Looking forward to Thailand. Should arrive in December and make our way to Chiang Mai. It would be great to meet up with travelers who made the Donnington meet. See you there, Dave.

If all goes to plan and I manage to get a moto in KL, I should be there, the distances/lengths I go to for a are getting alarming. Ride safe.

Thailand Mini-Meeting January 10-11, 2014 update

All presenters have been secured for Saturday night multi-media shows, as have sponsors for the 1 hour of free Heineken draft during the "Welcome" Reception Friday evening from 18:00-19:00. Reminder: all events are free but attendees wanting to feast on the "best BBQ in Chiang Mai" (200THB) on Saturday night must make a reservation with the Rider's Corner (0870481787, 0856188914 or email riders.corner.cnx@gmail.com). This is a special discount price for HU Mini-Meeting attendees.

Registrations for the HU Meeting have been flowing in from around the world. One serious motorcycle traveler from Australia advised us he was traveling from Dili on a "Postie Bike," a Honda CT110. A media representative from a global motorcycle publication asked that a chair be reserved for he and his photographer, and was told all seating, both nights, is on a "first come, first serve" basis. Possibly bring your own chair because last year over 100 attended and seating/standing overflowed into the parking area in front of the Rider's Corner both evenings.

Eagles are landing

Hello Singapore Dream Couple:

We look forward to seeing you again. The attendees at 2013 Meeting very much enjoyed your impromptu slide show. Many are returning again in 2014 like yourselves.

The German motorcycle adventure lady you met on the train to Bangkok several years ago as you were starting your 'round the world tour will be back, as will be your host from San Francisco and your Engine Transplant helper from Texas!

As always, the event promises to deliver far more wild adventures than we can describe in words.

See you January 10!

I made a massive mistake and ended up backpacking in the south islands. I'm currently on my way to Koh Tao to do scuba diving. I'll probably be in Chiang mai in early new year.

Can someone give me directions ? Not sure if I'm flying or busing it in..

Back packing sucks...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
