Smile 1st HU Russia meeting June 23-25!

Great news! The 1st HU Russia Meeting will be in Valday National Park, Korotsko, Russia in a great riding area convenient to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Online registration is now open!

This is your opportunity to make new connections with riders in Russia / interested in Russia; to get up to date information about motorcycle travel in Russia from real travellers. Learn about the best places to visit, the most picturesque roads to ride - the Road of Bones, the Trans-Siberian route, BAM, Baikal, Altay and many more. This will also be a good introduction to local cuisine, customs and hospitality.

Your hosts will be Alex and Olesya plus their team, Kate and Nikolay. Two years ago they decided to develop motorcycle tourism in Russia. Learn more about them at their web page - https://rusmototravel.com/about-us.

Mark your calendars, online registration will open soon!

This is going to be awesome!

I just registered and made some small notes; When registering, I have the option to pre-order a HU GERMANY T-shirt! I'm going to Russia, not Germany :P

Also the e-mail confirmation I received says "If you wait to pay online until after March 31, 2016..." I know time is irrelevant when we're on the road but I think it's 2017 by now

See you in June!

/Andreas

Hi Andreas, we're very pleased to hear you're coming to the 1st HU Russia meeting, BUT registration isn't yet open! That's why you got some strange messages and were unable to pay! Please be patient just a little bit longer, folks. We're testing registration now, will announce here and FB and put it live very soon!

Hi Guys,
I'm an Aussie who'll be in Russia for a world cup game and a bit of sight seeing.
I'll be in Kazan on the 21st June and i'm looking for a way i can make it to this meet - Is there any suggestions for the best way to get there as a foreign traveler without a vehicle?
I'm looking to fly from Kazan back to Moscow or St Petersburg and catch the easiest way there. I've ridden in foreign countries before but i'd be a bit nervous in Russia since i'll be solo, but i'm certainly interested in hiring a bike if there's any suggestions in that direction?
Thanks, Mark

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
