Where are the Musicians???

Hi guys,

wonderful biking weather in Germany already... Only about 4 weeks to our next Meeting!

Where are the Musicians? I will bring a guitar, if you need more things, please let me know... Maybe our perfect Flamenco Guitar player from from last Fall will show up again?

It was really great to listen to his music at the fire during the night...

See you soon - Jens

Hi Jens,

would it be possible to join the event at arriving? I mean, I don´t know if I can make it over so I would decide it very late.

Hi there,

Only 1 1/2 week to go for my first HU meeting, very excited! 2 questions:

- I will be riding down from the Netherlands (from Deventer) on the 27th and 28th. Are there any fellow riders that want to join? I plan on camping somewhere the first night.
- I subscribed for some volunteer tasks but so far I haven't received any further information from the organizers (Jens?). When can I expect this?

Thanks and see you soon!

Hi El Holandres,

i am riding to the HU on Thursday 29th and i am Starting in Germany next to Bonn.
May be I am on your way?

I would like to take the route along the rhine valley up to the south.
Its a verry nice landscape with many castles!

Here you find a part of the trip on a map:
Middle Rhine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For example, we can meat each other on Wednsday evening or Thursday Morning at
the camping.

The camping is on our way and verry close to the river (only a few meters from the campground). They offer a nice bear garden with some small meals too.
look at: Campingplatz und Biergarten "Auf dem Salmenfang" in Rheinbreitbach am Rhein und Siebengebirge

GPS
50.618093 (50° 37‘ 5.13‘‘ N)
7.215448 (7° 12‘ 55.61‘‘ E)

Send You an PM.

Regards,
Motravel :-)

Hi Motravel!

Would be very nice to ride together but my plans is to arrive on the 28th in Ober-Liebersbach, so I will be one day ahead of you.

In any case many thanks for the suggestion to follow the Rhine, I think I will do just that and the campsite looks tempting as well. The garden makes a good argument to stay there!

BTW you have a killer bike!

See you at the meeting,
El Holandes

And if you forget your swimwear it's not a problem to book just the sauna area. No swimwear allowed in that bit.
Had a great time last year and met some great people.
Well done Jens.
Nick.

Hi El Holandes!

I plan on being there the 28th to help get everything setup. Driving from Utrecht. Not sure if you are the same person I left a post for on the TCN forums but I would gladly meet up and drive together!

X, Eshe

Help needed

Hello from 2 Aussie Travellers (HU Members Queensland Australia), we are looking for some help if possible. We flew into Germany about 4 days ago and our two bikes were supposed to arrive tomorrow, but unfortunatley there was a problem with the banks and the Motorbikes will not arrive till possibly next Monday. If anyone has a spare tent and a blow up mattress we would be eternally grateful. All of our gear is in the crate at Thai Airways Bangkok.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
