Dommie cylinder head
I had recently had problems with a hot running dommie and tick over.Cured the holes in exhaust etc but Had problem with bang and then knocking.Took the head off today to find one of the exhuast valve seats had got so hot it cracked and fell apart. Then fell into the path of the up and coming piston, which then pounded the large chunks into the cylinder head thus cracking the head in several places.Hence my plea.
Can someone tell me where to get a good cylinder head? I am based in the south east of uk. |

Hello.
I believe David Lambeth carries spares for the NX/XR engine. HTH

A friend had a similar experience a few years ago. He ended up buying a new head but not a Dommie head! He was advised by TTS in Silverstone that the head from an XBR500 was identical but cost considerably less. The bike ran well for years afterwards.
May be worth checking this out with a Honda dealer, asking for relevant part numbers & prices etc. Steve
