Dominator engine swap
Hi folks,
I have a 91 NX650 and i was wondering whether an engine from a 98 model would slot in. I know the frames changed after 95 or 92. However the engines don't appear to look any different. Does anyone know if this will work. Thanks Rob |

I'd put money on it working just fine. Honda have barely changed anything at all and most of the changes have been for simplification and cost reduction rather than to make your life harder. when I fitted a kickstart to my 2002 model, I found threaded holes etc that were last needed on the 1989 model: its just not cost effective to change all those machining tapes and all that tooling.
good luck Rich |

Thanks Rich -
I suspected that there would not be problem, i just wanted to make sure there was not a known issue with this. A local breaker has one with just over 4,000 miles on and i thought it would be worthwhile getting it, as i plan on keeping my dommie for as long as it goes! Rob |
