Trip from NW Spain to N Italy in may
hi everybody!
We will go from Vigo (NW Spain) to Misano (Italy) between 14th to 26th May 2004. We are three guys that will travel to the Ducati Week 2004 (but only one of them has a Ducati). We want to take the opportunity of making a trip through south France (Toulouse, Marselle,…) and north Italy (Genoa, Firenze, Venezia…), using preferably small asphalt roads and stopping in any beautiful places. We invite anyone who wants to join us to make this trip. If you live near our route we will be delighted in ride with a local expert who wants to show us any place. Enrique.

As you mention Marseille & Genova: avoid those two cities, if you can, as well as the entire Mediterranean coast. It's almost completely built up and the traffic is horrendous.
Stay further inland and you'll have lots of fun. Use viamichelin.com and their printed maps to plot a route. I don't know where in Italy you're heading, but if you have the time and money try a detour via Corsica and Sardegna. I haven't been to S. yet, but Corsica is magic. ------------------ Salut from Southern France, the bikers' paradise, Peter. |
