Best experience Cologne (Germany) to Barcelona/ibiza
Hi, I am new to the community - just bought myself a XL 700 Transalp Honda and I am planning to drive end may from aroudn Cologn (Bochum) to Barcelona (Spain) and catch there a ferry to IBIZA. Anybody experience with this trip ? I want to do it in three days (to Barcelona) but do not want to drive just Highway. Also I am interested in recommendations for affordable accomodation with safe bike-parking. Would be great if anybody could provide some tips. Thx and see you maybe in a Germany HUBB meeting. Tom

Go down to Basel, Switzerland, then through the Alps mountains to Monaco, then head down the Mediterranean coast via Marseille, maybe with a little detour in the Pyrenees mountains before reaching Barcelona.
The shortest would probably straight through France via Paris, but that's a dull boring route (and expensive if you use highways, as the French motorways cost a toll...)

Greets from Milan, You could arrive to Switzerland than following the Rhone (Rotten) Geneve, Lyon arriving to Camargue and then motorway to Barcelona Hope it helps
