Puncture prevention - Bib Mousse
I have been following some of the 'puncture' threads , and I came across this bit of information which I thought might be of use particularly since one or two people here expressed an interest in using Bib-mousse instead of inner tubes.
In the UK these are available through CI Sport Ltd , leatherhead ,surrey , and though Hein Gericke ( who use CI Sport ). prices are (as I write this) 85UKP for 21-inch up to 99UKP for 18/19-inch sizes. they also have gel for lubrication to prevent heat build-up. the catalogue states a maximum life in use of 6 months. Usual disclaimer - no connection with above companies etc. I have never used a Bib-mousse since I don't do competitions ( and it's impossible to lower tyre pressures for soft sand with them fitted <G>!), so I can't comment on them.
