4 mm. inner tube

Hi;

Dual-Star is selling inner tubes with 4mm thickness.

Did anyone try it or have any idea about its effectiveness?

Thanks,

Yes, I run them in my XR. Hard to say how effective they are. They certianly won't provide much protection for nail, thorns, etc, but I think they would help prevent pinches - both from hitting rocks/stumps at speed, and from slipups when using tire irons. I've pinched a few tubes in the past, and never had any pinches after using these tubes.

They're a real pain to get in and out because of their thickness - especially when trying to get the valve stem through the rim.

Cheers,
Wright
