You may like this tent/tarp/swag thingy or you may not?... but check out the comments, as apparently it seems to be ok to have your bike hovering over you whilst sound asleep in it. He won't listen to me; just don't want to see anyone hurt or worse.

Seems to be a sales video for a humongously large roll for tent, sleeping mat and bag!

Yep, far too big etc etc and over the top if you ask me; more look at me style than function. If buyers follow his head though and have the bike on its side stand over the tent, it's only going to be a matter of time before the bike topples.

There's all sorts of oddball camping setups on the market that seem like a good idea on paper but fall down when you have to load them onto a bike. Below is a picture of one I saw a couple of years back in Nevada. The tent bit fixes over the bed bit so you get a comfortable night but loaded onto the Triumph in the background it looked like you were carrying a load of scaffolding. The owner said it was also a bit unstable if you had a restless night but he didn't have a lot of camping experience so didn't know how it compared.



Having seen the video (11.00mins in) I must have been ahead of my time. I was using tarps slung over the bike back in the early 70's

Top one looks like a space ship has landed.

But that's how we camped back in the day. Brings back memories does your XS 650 (in fashionable 70's Gold) and Craven top box. Still retaining it's number plate on the front and red air horns set; very 70's backofbeyond.
