Smile Bodgery Book

What's your best bodging story? A friend and I are compiling a book of the best and most ingenuious bodges. All true stories welcome, anything from a couple of lines to a couple of pages, with pictures if you have them. If it happened in a remote part of the world, so much the better.

Highlights so far include a loose cylinder head held in place with a wedge of wood (it ran!) and punctured rear tyre stuffed with grass (not an urban myth, it really does work).

There's no money in it, sadly, but it should make a for a good fun book.

Over to you.

Money

Who said there's no money in it, write the book. You never know you may be pleasantly surprised. Sounds really interesting.

Must say it didnt work for me one time in Mali; it all turned to powder in a few miles and the bead got ruined soon after.

Still, it worked for someone and it's a fun idea for a book so good luck with it.
