I find the original BMW workshop-manual better then Haynes (I have both).

It can be bought from a BMW-dealer or you can download a scrappy scan here: http://www.actiontouring.com/bmwtech/manual.pdf

Sorry, I have not tested Clymer.

It’s worth to notice that there are not electrical diagrams in the BMW-manual (you have to order separately), but there are in Haynes.

I find this one handy:
Part I
Part II

Clymer is good manual though pictures are a bit dark and not clear.
Electrical diagrams included in Clymer.

I was thinking to make a copy of needed chapters and carry on the bike at long rides. I found the manual at pdf format. Having it in a small notebook will be enough I guess.

BMW Motorcycle Spares - Motobins Ltd - Welcome
They sell an original sparepart catalogue (microfish print) - very usefull.
BMW original WSM - supplements Haynes and Clymer.

On yahoo you have Airhead Tech, Euroheads and Ozheads: I have found them to be very helpfull.
BMW Motorcycle Owners of America is a wonderful source of information.

Airhead Beemer Club in San Diego is also a very good source.

Horizons Unlimited is a very good site -
