R11GS Alternative Ignition rotor (lower octane)

I read in Chris Scott's book (Adventure Motorcycle Handbook) page 41. that BMW makes a alternative ignition rotor than can be used whe you need to run lower octane fule. Can anyone help me locate one? Has anyone used one? Is it the same solution as the new Adventure fule injector plug? I have removed the Cat converter, and modified the (USA) CAT Code plug to use the Non-CAT mapping, and installed a pedumeter(sp?) to adjust air/fule mixture so this may impact this option. Basicly I am looking for the way to run lower octane fule when their is no option. (yes I know about booster, but you never seem to have anough of it when you need it!)

Thanks!
