My bike`s too young to smoke (he`s only 6)
Hmm, my BMW R1150GS has only recently started showing signs of picking up a bad habit. A couple of times recently, I noticed quite a bit of white/grey smoke coming from the exhaust on start up after I`d been riding and stopped for a bit.
Its done nearly 80k miles but has been pretty much trouble free and doesn`t use much oil (10-40 synthetic in just now). Is this a bad sign or is this just a phase he`s going through?

Do you park it on the sidestand or the canterstand ?
If on the sidestand then a little oil may seep past the rings.

Yep, both times was on the side stand.
