For Sale: California Plated Honda XR650L - Perú / mid-June
My South American travels are coming to an end...looking for the next owner for the perfect bike for any on/off-road adventure.
California-plated, 2008 Honda XR650L with 28,XXX miles on it. For sale in Peru (Lima preferable) from 6/13-20th. (Mid June). This bike has been perfect for everywhere I’ve been in South America (Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru). Massive component upgrade list for overland travel. Includes a lot of extra goodies that I’ll pass on for the next owner (spare parts, tools). California plates with title-in-hand makes registration and ownership process super easy. It also means seamless border crossings. Must-have electric handwarmers are awesome. Bike runs beautiful on whatever fuel has been available down here as well as at altitude (5,000m+).
This really is the Swiss Army knife moto for South America. Honda dependability, plus big enough that you can crush highway miles for some of the larger stretches. Single cylinder keeps things mechanically simple. I’ve come across many bikes down here making similar treks and I would hands down purchase this one again if I had more time / funds.

I have a contact in California that will go to the DMV and transfer the title to your name once partial payment is completed. The bike also has 180 days on the TIP for Peru so there’s plenty of flexibility - enough to buy the bike and store it in Peru for a few months if you plan on starting your trip a little later.
