All that's needed is a way to wind it back onto the spool from the back, as a continuous track. Then make the track transparent, and you're off!
Don't worry about steering, just aim carefully for your destination before setting off. |

Silly me, the track doesn't need to be transparent - a periscope will do the job nicely.
