inverter in santiago

Anyone know of a shop in Santiago that sells good inverters?
We need a 24v one, capable of 1,000 watt or there abouts.
Many thanks from sunny warm SA.
Sorry - couldn't resist the dig after hearing blighty has more snow!

is yours gone up in smoke? Can't you have it repaired? Let me know if you find a good shop?

inverter

Sterling power product - power pro Q. Had a electronic guy look at ours but it's a major problem that cannot be easily fixed. We were very grateful of his help ( a fellow overlander) as Sterling power's response was 'It either works or it doesn't!' That was from the technical assistance team!! Real assholes.
Don't think we will find the technology over here. Everyone points to Buenos Aires or Santiago. We suspect as a 'get rid of us' ploy!
Have managed to find a £20 make do inverter but it is a cheap emergency option until we find a good one.

inverter news

Our black and decker didn't work! We drove away from the store without checking it.
Anyway, we found inverters in Casa Royal - a electrics store in Santiago. We have put the details on our Chile info page. This one does work - thank goodness!
That will be lucky number 4. ha ha
