Wanted Land rover 110 Winch Bumper (UK - South)

Might be in the market for a second hand winch bumper if there is one going cheap (ish) ......... I think our winch is a huskey super winch, but it doesn't say anything on it .

Anyone got one blocking access to the spare room?

Thanks

it just so happens...

Hi Ollie, I have a surplus one of these on the front of my truck!

Yours for any reasonable offer. One problem: it's in Manchester. Whereabouts do you need it?

Hmmm

Hi Richard,

Thanks for getting back. We are in Southampton. I am Manchester way in September, but we will be living out of the Landy for two weeks at that time (I'm cycling John O'Groats -> Land's End, and the wife is driving the support vehicle!), so I'm not sure how practicle that would be.

Are you down South at all?

Do you think it would fit our winch?

Jenny and Ollie's Big Trip

I'm not sure what a fair price would be, but I can tell you the cheapest on ebay are £199 + delivery, and my local 4x4 offered me a new one for £300 ish. Apart from that the only real knowledge of bumpers was when I put them into use See .

Ouch! that looks like a nasty knock.

The one I have is an actual branded Superwinch bumper so your winch should bolt straight in. We had it stripped down and recoated a few years back and it still looks pretty good.

I'm rarely that far South I'm afraid. You would be welcome to pick it up in Sept. or we could investigate sending it by courier - it might need to be palletted?

Price-wise I've no idea either - £100?

Great

Well that sounds perfect to me Richard, in fact the jsut the answer.

I suppose if we could get it shipped for £30 or less then it would be worth it, otherwise the wife will have to pick it up whilst I cycle.

Any ideas who might do that sort of delivery and whether it's going to be too much hassle your end?

Drop me a mail rom the website if you want, might be easier ...

thanks again

Ollie,

Use your tree straps etc and another person's winch to gently pull it into shape.

If it breaks, get it welded back on.

You will get it 90% into shape, have a battle weary landy and save a lot of money for the trip. Have you replaced all 4 wheel bearings?

(Sorry Richard! :-)

Not the shape

HI Darrin,

Although from my previous post it looks like I'm replacing the bumper cause of the shape, its actually because at Billing it was pointed out to me my bumper was not correctly attached and was more likely to spew its attaching bolts everywhere in times of extreme (!!) jacking .......

We're weren't going to replace unless we found a cheap 2nd bumper, and Richard saved the day.

And it's a nice colour .....
