Following was sent to several users, with more on the "in danger" list.
We depend on all our users to keep the tone of the board the way we all want it, so PM "Grant Johnson" if you see any posts which bring the tone down, or just click the Report Post icon.We DO NOT like to have to take this step, but it's become necessary. ================== Many HUBB users and moderators are fed up with all the noise generated by a small group of people. It has been suggested (by people whose opinion we value) that you should be banned permanently for lowering the tone of the HUBB. However, that would also mean we would lose the good and useful content which we know you are capable of producing. So, this is our attempt to give you all a last chance. ALL posts by you will be moderated, which may result in some delay to the posting. IF I get tired of pressing the DELETE button on your posts, I'll just delete you and ban your ip range. Good behaviour will get you back to your regular user group, but any transgressions will dump you back here, or LONG term, if not permanent, banning. Private messaging is currently allowed but can be removed if abused. Signatures are NOT allowed - before being returned to a regular user group, you must clean up your signature! We WILL NOT allow the HUBB to become another forum killed by all the crap posts and slanging matches that turn the good folks off and keep them from coming back because they don't want to read the shit. If you think we're killjoys, by all means take your posts elsewhere! Grant and Susan
