From Japan (Osaka) to Australia (Perth) via AIR-FREIGHT

Hi HUBB:

I am looking for AIR-Freight Shipping from Osaka, Japan, to Perth, Australia, for two (2) motorcycles on one of the following dates - November 9, November 10, or November 11.

Would love to ship the same way I did from Canada to Europe - the Airline just put the bikes in a large metal container/pod that fit into the belly of the plane. We basically road the motorcycles to the shipping department when we dropped them off in Canada and rode them away when we reached Europe - no difficult crating to deal with. We are hoping to do the same from Japan to Australia. Does anyone know of anything out there. At the moment I have had little luck.

Here are the technical details of both motorcycles.

BMW 1200 GS (1200cc)

Length 87.0 inches (2210 mm)
Width 36.6 inches (935 mm)
Height 57.1 inches (1450 mm)
Weight 448 lbs. (203 kg)

BMW 1150 GS Adventure (1150cc)

Length 85.8 inches (2180 mm)
Width 38.6 inches (980 mm)
Height 56.5 inches (1435 mm)
Weight 511.5 pounds (232.0 kg)

Both Motorcycles are registered in The United States of America and have a current/valid "Carnet De Passages En Douane" for purposes of import/export.

Thanks for the help HUBB.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
