Locations/details of embassies in west Africa

I'm currently riding south through west Africa to Cape Town. I've tried to keep a list of embassy locations and border crossing details in case it's any help to anyone else (especially since embassies love moving and not telling anyone).

It's currently a Google Map with embassies, border crossings and some really good accomodation marked. The link is here. I'll try and update it as we go.

I hope it helps at least someone.
Ben

Great work Henn,
we are just getting ready to leave Morocco on much the same route. Did you have any problems with distances between fuel stops? I can go about 400 kilometres if I carry a 5 litre jerry can.

good job hen!

hi hen!
many thanks for your information! we're now in bamako and will ride through niger and nigeria down south soon. our plan is to get to SA in july or august.
do you have any info about crossing into cameroon in the far north with no visa (getting it at the border)?
how bad is the mamfe road at the moment?

many thanks

Simon - Our bikes do 400km to a tank and we haven't had fuel problems (aside from some longer pistes we chose to go off and ride). Well, no, that's a lie, we had fuel troubles in Gabon due to our lack of planning and three towns in a row having either very little or no petrol. It shouldn't be an issue though.

Darius - No idea about the far north crossing into Cameroon or getting a visa at the border. When we rode Ekok - Mamfe it was dry and the road was fine. Cruising at 60-70kmh most of the time. But there were some big flogged out mudholes that looked like they would be deep, muddy and slippery in the wet.

Just did a final update of this map.

It gets pretty boring down in the south. Things tended to run pretty smoothly for us.
