that was in march 2006

Euro 82,- for my Landy 110 and 26,50 for myself one way.
You can get the tickets right at the harbour. I bought mine at one of those roadside booths, that make you think, that's the last opourtunity to get the ticket. I guess, because of their commision, it is probably a little cheaper in the harbour.
I hope, this helps

Normally 10% or so cheaper if you buy return ticket with same company.

24 Euros for a bike

If I read this correctly this is 24 euros for a bike from Spain to Ceuta? correct?

Though I have no idea how I would get the ticket my french/spanish is non-existent?

How much will I pay at the terminal?

I don't know about the Spanish side, but at Tangier the ferry operators have English speaking agents.
What I would recommend is going to an internet cafe when you get to southern Spain, buying your ticket online, and printing it.

No problem buying tickets to Ceuta on the Spanish side and my Spanish is limited to a single word Manuel impression.

There are dozens of agents with big signs along the road to Algericas. I understand they all sell at the same price.

Ferry cost alg & tarifa

HI All
just thought i'd post my tupence worth after returning from 3 weeks in morroco

the cost of the ferry from Tarifa to Tangier was E250.00 for 2 people and a landrover discovery, the full price should have been 264.00 as quoted by all i checked with. "Viajes Normandie" the ticket office near Carefore and Aldi gave me a 14E discount and the best price i got was 250. i was quoted 180 euro algeciras to Tangier or Ceuta by the same office although they did show me a late 2007 price list that did have discounted prices from FRS the ferry operator but they ended 1st march 2008

The best thing was the girl that speaks english there preprinted the customs form for me which took the wind out of the touts sails & we passed through the port in a less than an hour after docking.
the url for the customs form is:
www.douane.gov.ma/EDuane/DMCV/AT/Edition_AT.asp

regard to all

Gren

Thats for the bike ... its about 30 EUR for you as well. There are dozens of petrol stations with ticket counters on the roads approaching Algeciras ... They usually speak basic english.
