Copper Canyon Christmas '02

I'm heading to Copper Canyon over the Christmas break. I'm trailering my KLR down to El Paso, then riding into Mexico.

Does anyone know of or have a safe place I can park my truck for about 10 days after Christmas? Anyone else heading to CC at that time? Perhaps we can hook up and explore some of the more remote routes.

Story,
Enjoy Barranca del Cobre(time to start thinking in Spanish). Wonderful place and GREAT adventure. You emailed me shortly after my trip a year ago, and I was working on video of trip. Still doing that and getting closer. Any questions you have email me.--Porter

I spent a total of about 2 months based in Hildago de Parral, Estado Chihuahua exploring the surrounding desert and drinking afterward! I did the copper canyon once and then from Hildago de Parral to the coast near Mazatlan. Another good trip is from Parral to Chihuahua city via pylon and pipeline service roads. Heres a picture of me somewhere:
