Kawasaki kle 400

Hi,

Can anyone please give me some advice on their experience with the KLE 400. I'm interested in buying a dual purpose type bike and I can get a '94 KLE400 on a private deal. What must I look out for, what is a good price to pay, how powerful is it comparing to the KLE500 and KLR650, what topspeed is it capable of. I weigh 85kg and is about 1.8m tall, will the bike be comfortable on and off-road. I will really appreciate any info and advice

2/look on the left side of engine again (below the rear brake lever) you should see a little round window, with the bike uprite ( may need an asistant) check that the oil level is between the two horizontal lines maked on it....
I hope that helps

tnx TD, I was so stupid that round window for oil was so obvious and my engine is 500cc thanks again

Hi folks,
Thought it was about time i contributed to the kle owners section, so here's some pics of my kle in Spain.

I have got panniers and racks on it ,handle bar risers, tall screen , heated grips, engine bars, custom seat( the original is horrible) centre stand, gps and a top box.

My only complaint about the bike is the small tank and silly, silly side stand which doesnt seem to work when you go abroad.(on the other side of the road, you cant get the bike to stand because of the camber)
apart from that i love it.
