Smile 1st HU Switzerland meeting Aug 25-27 2017

We are delighted to announce that world travellers and good friends Heike and Filippo Fania have offered to host the 1st HU Switzerland Travellers Meeting from Aug 25-27, 2017.

They've found a fantastic venue with all the facilities we need in beautiful surroundings in the heart of Switzerland. There are great motorcycling roads nearby and the Alps at your doorstep, with the famous Furka, Grimsel, Susten or Klausen Pass roads only a few kilometres away.

Online registration is open now with early bird rates!

Ok I've just done my booking for this event, but when I try and pay I have trouble.
I don't have a paypal account and cant see the link to pay by card on the paypal site.
Am I able to pay my €35 on arrival?

Hi all

Ola James, see you over there I'm booked too, John will be there too.
One question to organizers: is it possible to go the site without using toll roads and avoid to pay road tax?
See you in August

Hi James,

If you select paypal you have to keep clicking from page to page until you have to log in, and then there is a link to the credit card payment at the bottom.

Alternatively you can also pay by bank transfer. The details were in your confirmation email.

Please try these options first. And if it is still not working, we can try and find another solution. .

Looking forward to meeting you in Switzerland!

Hi Roger

yes there is a possibility - just stay away from the motorways, these are the only roads where you have to pay in Switzerland. And the backroads are much nicer anyway. I have marked a possible route here: https://www.google.ch/maps/dir/68480...b1!2b1!3e0!5i2
and here a longer but very nice and scenic route including some passes in the Alps: https://www.google.ch/maps/dir/Besan...m2!1b1!2b1!3e0

Hi Heike

Thank you for your reply, should be ok then, I've permanently removed the word "motorway" from my life since few years now.
Just gonna be a fantastic weekend.
See you there

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
