I bought a hennessy hammock a couple of years ago and have been happy with it overall.
First the good points. It is very lightweight and comfortable. Unlike most hammocks you can sleep on your side or stomach if you wish. It is also much more comfortable than sleeping on the ground. The rain fly will keep out the rain.Bugs, not a problem. I know this from experance. I have the basic one but they come in diffrent sizes. Even the basic one gives me plenty of room, and I am not a small guy.
The down side. It is a hammock and without something to hang it.......well you get the point. I have seen on the web where people use treking poles etc to set it up on the ground, but what is the point of using a hammock. Just erect a shelter with a lightweight tarp, or better yet keep it simple and sleep under the stars. Being small and lightweight there is no room to store gear inside. In cold weather it can get cold.
Tips. Place a light tarp under the hammock to keep dirt, rocks, pine needles etc from getting on your feet and in your boots. The tarp can also be used to cover your gear on those rainy days. Go to the website at http://www.hennessyhammock.com/
