The story of my trip across Canada, and my new adventure into Mexico as it unfolds, falls apart & gets taped back together and boldly advances.
Original travel stories and historical motorcycle research written by moto-journalist Ken Aiken.
At the end of this July, three riders will take off on an Arctic adventure. Two will be on trusty Airheads and the third on a Oilhead GS as we head North to the upper limit of the James Bay Road in Quebec. The trip will focus on Beer, History and motorcycles.
The beer is Allsopp's Arctic Ale, which is a story unto itself. It's a 157 year old recipe, was created for the ships searching for the Northwest Passage and we'll be adventure brewing it over a wood fire in the far North.
Our ride although not remarkable, will be an adventure.
We've completed our adventure. One rider dropped out after one week. We managed to brew beer under extremely difficult conditions at Longue Point, Quebec. This is the most North Western point in Quebec that can be reached by road (Dirt). Albatross Films, a documentary film crew from Russia, filmed the adventure and it should be ready for release next Summer (2011). The Aurora Borealis was stunning.
A Motorcycle Adventure In Search Of The Improbable It's 2008. The world enters economic meltdown. A global flu pandemic looms. An historical US presidential election is taking place and, somewhere in the Americas, a lone Irishman is coaxing his temperamental Italian motorcycle through another electrical breakdown…

Too young to retire, not enough money to get where you need to go? Some planning and desire for challenges take this young Mexican girl and her Canadian man across the Americas. Join us as we travel North to South with "MD Moto Adventure Researchers".
From December 2009 through the spring of 2010 I'll be traveling by motorcycle from Boulder, Colorado through Mexico, Central America and South America.
The purpose of this trip is simple- to live in the moment, enjoy life, see the world, make some great memories and maybe learn a thing or two along the way.
Alex decided to spend the money he earns to improve his experience, not his situation. 'Without a Tether' is a website and blog describing his journey from there, and supplying information on cheap living and traveling with a motorcycle.
Bruce and Jean running away (again), this time 6 months + to go from Canada to somewhere in South America, maybe Ushuaia, maybe not. One on an Aprilia Pegaso Trail, and the other on a 10 year old XJR1300(SP).
Starting September 2010, we will ride from as far north to as far south as is possible by land, raising money for the Colin McRae Vision.
