Highly, highly recommend MotoFreight for your motorcycle shipping needs.  They are bikers themselves and are passionate about helping other bikers realize their own dream trips.

I contacted them because of a posting I saw on Horizons about 2 months ago and had been working with them to get a motorcycle shipped--by ship--from the UK to Cape Town.   Every step of the way they've been incredibly responsive and a fount of information.    I really didn't have a clue how to go about this, even where to ship to and from.   They patiently answered email after email of questions.

They can handle both air freight and shipping and will pack and store your bike on their facilities as well.    They also have good relationships with motorcycle dealers in Ireland and the UK and so can work with them if you plan to buy your bike there   (I bought mine remotely).     Also, with the people at www.carseurope.net who issue carnet de passages.  (ask to work with Sukie, she's amazing),  which is key as the carnet needs to be ready to go when the bike is shipped.  (depending if the country you go to requires one, as South Africa does)

I was just about to ship my bike last week when the world closed down.   So like everyone, I postponed my trip, plans etc.    Fortunately, the bike still hadn't been put on the ship     I asked about storing the bike at their place in UK and they told me that because of the coronavirus emergency,  they were offering free storage to people whose bikes were stranded in the UK, who'd been on bike trips there!   What an amazingly wonderful thing for them to do!    And so typical of them.

When the world gets back to normal, I recommend using MotoFreight!
