I paid $1200 cost at start AND destination, INCLUDING crating. If I had done crating myself I could have saved about AUD 500 (US$365). I asked Bikes Abroad a quote in february, before I arrived in Australia. I got a quote. I asked again for a quote in August. Ivan informed me that the quote was still valid. I paid not more than was quoted, apart from customs fee in Durban (ZAR 1040, US$ 80). There were NO hidden costs. I contracted a clearing agent as was recommended by ECU lines in Durban (US$75) but it is possible to do customs clearing yourself. However, those 75 dollar included transport twice from Durban to customs depot which is quite a distance. The vessel arrived as sceduled and within the estimated shipping time. However it took a week to unload the ship and to get the bike in customs depot. This is of course not due to Bikes Abroad.

In short: no hidden costs and on time. EXCELLENT SERVICE!
