London Heathrow:

Dropped bike off at Air Canada Cargo at Heathrow approx 36hrs before my flight. Rode bike into the warehouse myself and disconnected the battery. Paid the fees at the counter which included UK Export Handling Charges, Security Screening, Export Customs Entry Work and Dangerous Goods Shippers Declarations. GBP600.25 in total for everything. Petrol tank to have no more than 25% fuel in it.

Toronto Pearson:

Made my way around to the Air Canada Cargo terminal by taxi, located on the opposite side of the airport to the PAssenger Terminal. CAD$22 for the taxi fare from the main street outside the airport at Terminal 3. Airport taxi quoted $30.

Collected keys and papers from Air Canada Cargo desk. Walked to the Customs Desk located in the adjacent building, approx 15 min walk away.

Presented ownership papers for the bike to Customs and Air Canada Cargo shipping documents. Received blue stamp on the papers (no charge or deposit required) and returned to ACCargo, collected the bike. Drove off.*

* Process took 8 hours by the time ACCargo sorted their papers out and for Customs to come across to inspect the bike for VIN number, mud/insects etc. Frustrating, but no issues with paperwork/payments etc.
