Panama and Costa Rica are wonderful Countries to travel with the motorbike, but also I got a impression about the "dangerous" countries on the way to Mexico. Next year, I will go back to see more!

Jan and Anne Schwarz

Fresh from the 'dark continent'

Jan and Anne will show a selection of impressions, stories and learnings from their recent trip across Africa. They started in South Africa in May 2014, crossed Southern and Eastern Africa, Turkey and Eastern Europe, and will (Inshallah!) arrive in Germany mid-October. Just in time for the HU meeting!

"As our minds are freshly loaded from the trip, we will be able to give you recent information about roads, borders and people but also insights regarding planning and the things to think, build, buy and forget about."

Jan and Anne Schwarz.

Jan has been riding motorcycles for 15 years. He is as passionate about two-wheelers as he is about our environment. He lived in Johannesburg, South Africa in the last two years, gaining true offroad riding skills as well as managing communication challenges in environmental NGOs.

Anne started riding in 2011. She has her good and her bad days, but with knobbly tyres on dirt tracks there are only good days, really. She lived with Jan in South Africa, and if you want to know more you can read her profile on Global Women who Ride.

Alexander Conrad

30 days in Russia - Ukraine to the Ural Mountains and south along the river Wolga into Georgia

Coming from Ukraine, Alexander travelled across crowded and remote areas of Russia all the way to the Ural mountains into the country of "Tatarstan". Riding several days in the rain, getting kicked out of hotels, getting sick, he had to stay longer than scheduled. Visiting the hospital and dealing with its bureaucracy, even not recovered he had to hurry up to leave the country within the 30-day visa time. And he still had to pass through the "very dangerous" areas of North-Ossetia and Ingushetiya into Georgia...

Alex Conrad in Russia.

Burned out and very depressed, Alexander left everything and took on a motorcycle trip in 2011. Since then he has been constantly travelling on two wheels around the globe continuing his "Motorcycletherapy"...

Light and shade in a trip around the world - Once a go at life full speed ahead!

For many years we dreamed, until we finally found the courage to dare. After three and a half years motorcycle trip around the world, we are now back and ready to report: By happiness and despair, of love and sorrow, of the light and dark sides of life "on the road", which is far from a never-ending holiday!

The Krad-Vagabunden (Simon and Panny) travelled around the world for 3.5 years with with their bikes. 183,475 km, 64 border-crossings and countless encounters with locals and mc-riders.
