Comments:

This is an expensive and tedious exercise, not recommended. We chose this option as we missed the shipping to East Timor and Toll couldn't tell us when the next shipment would be. Darwin, Australia is an expensive place to stay and wait for the next ship. There is a lot of paperwork to be done in Singapore that can take a long time, don't assume you will get it all done in one day.

We had the option of towing the bikes from the Port to the Malaysian border, (the causeway between Singapore and Malaysia). The price for towing one bike was SGD$288, the price for the two bikes was double that even though they were to be put on the same truck. You still need to pay SGD$53.50 for an International Circulation Permit, SGD$10 for an LTA Autopass Card and SGD$3.00 to get into the port to access your bike.

We chose to ride our bikes from the port, we had to push them from the warehouse to the main gate/customs for the carnet stamp. So we had to buy insurance from AAS, at $264, plus  the ICP and LTA Autopass card and Port permit. These prices are based on shipping a BMWR80GS. Hope this information is of some use to someone.
