Just went like a breeze... 1st get quote from talkcargo. (Ask specific questions and you get an tailormade quote, say what you will do, like the DGC and the Carnet stamped out will save you some hundret AUD and its easy and fast process)

Go and get the Dangerous Goods Certificate (valid for ten days) close to the airport in Sydney

^^thx for Neil for that information.

2nd. go to the airport and get the Carnet stamped out (they may ask you for shipping documents, we showed them the Quote and it was OK...)

Get the details from Paul where and when to bring your bike. We found everything we needed in the warehouse, a pallet, cling wrap, card paper etc... all free of charge.

Left the bike on the pallet there, picked it up in Frankfurt Airport 3 days later, paid 56 EUR in Frankfurt and drove off... thats it... super easy, fast and "cheap"... A total of 1670 USD for air transport Sydney to Freankfurt, for us a bargain price! Any questions do not hesitate to contact us via our blog http://www.RTWbyBIKE.com
