Buying a bike in South Africa, then riding to UK
It's just a pipe dream at the moment, but I'll be getting off a overland truck in cape town in June 07, having been on it for 7 months from Spain. If I've got any money left, still want to stay away from home or could work in S.A I'd like to buy an old tenere or something and ride back home (UK). I am very new to this scale of travel (bumming around the UK for 2k miles on my old R65 is the biggest trip so far), so I've little idea what is needed. I'd need a carde right? but what about importing it? Will it be expensive? How much dosh should I set aside for the bikes papers? Cheers, Squags
