Myanmar Crossing Oct/Nov 2014 (Indien > Thailand)

Hi there,

in Oct/Nov 2014 we are driving from India through Myanmar to Thailand with our own car.
For the Myanmar crossing Mr. Tin will be the tour-operator.

Currently we are 2 cars – but 3 more have showed already serious interest.
To share costs we are searching for more travel companions for the convoi.
Trucks, cars, motorbikes are all welcome!

The crossing would take 5-9 days, however the exact duration/itinerary
would depend on how many cars/motorbikes/people we are and the final share for each.

If you are seriously interested to join this Myanmar Self-Drive,
please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Safe travels.
Peter and Jen

Hi Peye and Jen,
I am wondering if you managed to get a group together for the Crossing? We are hoping to do this in April 2015.

I try to collect all of the myanmar crossings.

4x4tripping: Myanmar as Selfdriver 2014 and 2015 - looking for travelmates to safe costs

Maybe this helps. At your Timeframe there are two other crossings, you should be able to connect you with others

I will add this thread too.

hi,
what we know is that you can enter myanmar on a tourist visa - in fact we were told you should NOT mention "entering Myanmar by land" in the visa application process!!
what we also know is that currently you still need a guide and a government escort should you wish to enter by land and cross through Myanmar!
that might change until next year! if you are flexible you can fly yourself and your bike into Myanmar, explore the country and fly out again. How I understood the regulation at the moment this shouldn't be a problem - but please confirm with the respective authorities!
Tin's website can be found at: Bright View Travels & Tours
he is organizing self-drive Myanmar crossings.

all the best
peter

Hello guys! We are a couple driving from Spain and now we are in India. We are interesting in crossing Myanmar, we are flexible in date and we want to know the price per pax.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
