Kazakhstan / Kyrgyzstan Border at Karkara still CLOSED
As per the title. The border has been closed since troubles flared-up last year in Kyrgyzstan, and there is no sign of it re-opening. There is only an army detachment there, no customs / immigration.
The borders at Qorday and Taraz further to the west are both open, and I'm fairly sure the crossing east of Merke is too. Daniel

Thanks for the update, Daniel, I'll cross the border of Qorday into KAZ middle of July, direction Astana.
