Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events such as this one (18 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or
to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and

We toured Iran in 2008 with two 2008 KTM 990 Adventures.
We entered and returned from the Gurbulak/Bazargan border.
As Turkish citizens we went to Turkish Touring and Automobile Agency and we paid 75 EUR (non-refundable) and 200 USD (depozit to get back when returning the Carnet) and took our Carnet.
I did Sharjah to Bandar Abbas in August, carnet from Qatar was 50,000 QAR plus about 800 for the carnet itself, the 50,000 was returned in days, but I did present the carnet in person. I dont think you can get on the ferry without one. The ferry website is way out of date, the only route is Sharjah-Bandar Abbas, Sunday evening 10pm, and Thursday I think as well, arrive on Saturday to start the paperwork, then turn up at about 4pm on Sunday and faff about for 6 hours before the ferry leaves, all part of the fun. We went on KTM 990s, brillant bike for the trip, Rob
